I can't decide whether it's completely stupid or entirely ingenious. But I did laugh myself into a cramp.

I never read Harry Potter, though I tried a couple of times. From what I know about the story, I can root safely for, what's his name? Moorvold? No. Mold. Vold. Vold something. The bad guy. He. Him. I'm rooting for him. He should win. I mean that in the most reasonable, reader-friendly way possible. The story should serve the reader, right? So Vold/Mold/Vert guy should win. Just b/c that would be very interesting. Darkness descends! If HP were bleak I'd read his stories.
I should clarify: It doesn't bother me if the books don't float someone's boat, and I do quite like the song. You're rarely going to get cheery optimistic endings with Richard Thompson, whose love songs are about gutshot heroes, drug-dealing murderers, and the otherwise boundary-impaired. Good stuff!

I think I've found your theme song, then.
