And we thought it was cold in DC

Florence Nightingale, writing on the death of Lord Raglan, leader of the disastrous Crimean campaign and one of the architects of the Charge of the Light Brigade: "Peace be with him and his hecatomb of twenty thousand men." O SNAP.

One of my sisters just started using "Oh snap!" in an effort to curb her swearing. I asked her if she had picked it up from Joy Turner in "My Name is Earl." Negative.

What's up with this winterless winter? Did someone forget to dance the dark morris? At least it is supposed to snow a bit tonight in NYC.

Don't look at me, I don't even HAVE a bucket, let alone a stick. (Lolrus sympathizes.) It's chilly enough for me, though; my toes were almost froze last night at riding. And yes, the fox did go out on the chilly night, and the moon did give him light.

O SNAP is one of the things Those Damn Kids are saying online. TDK is a set that is no longer bounded by age. On the Internet, nobody knows you're a grown-up.

Nobody but wimpy lame-os think it's actually cold in DC.

Guilty! My people are from warmer climes.
