Don't come to New York either. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/25/nyregion/25sick.html

Sigh. It's shallow to think about the frustration of trip planning when other people are talking about pandemics and major health challenges, innit. From a logistical standpoint, our travel insurance won't cover us if there's a CDC or State warning of a particular level, so it's a decision made for us rather than by us (because I would just stock up on Tamiflu and head for the airport, at this point).

People need to stop kissing swines! Or is that just good dating advice?

Nooooooo! You have to go, if only so you can eat copious amounts of delicious Mexican food on my behalf.

Assuming that we get there, Sparrow, never fear on that score. The Frommer's guide mentioned chicharrones de queso, and that was all I needed to hear. Then reading about the local gaspacho, a salad of mango, pineapple, jicama, a spritz or two of citrus, some crumbled white cheese, and a sprinkle of red chile? Fuggedaboudit.
